This is a sample agreement for the AppStore++ project. Review and adapt it with your own details before you publish or distribute the app.
Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using AppStore++ (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use the app. These terms form an agreement between you and the AppStore++ team.
What AppStore++ is
AppStore++ is a tool for discovering and managing apps. We may add, change, or remove features at any time as the product evolves, so nothing here guarantees that a particular feature will always be available.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and you must use the app in line with the laws that apply to you. If you use the app on behalf of an organization, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.
Your license to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, rent, or sublicense it, and you may not remove or alter any notices it contains.
Acceptable use
Use the app responsibly. Don’t try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to any part of it, and don’t use it to distribute malware or infringe anyone’s rights. We may limit or end access that puts the service or other people at risk.
Third-party apps and content
The app may link to or surface software and content we don’t own or control. We’re not responsible for third-party apps, their behavior, or their terms — your use of them is between you and that provider. Review their terms and permissions before installing.
Privacy
We collect and use information as described in our Privacy Policy, and by using the app you agree to that handling of your data. Add a link to your Privacy Policy here so people can read it in full.
Service provided “as is”
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the AppStore++ team isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the previous twelve months.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the date at the top of this page, and meaningful changes take effect once posted. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections meant to outlast the agreement — such as disclaimers and liability limits — stay in effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the AppStore++ team operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located there, unless local law requires otherwise.
